Can Magnotherapy Cure Everything?

An explanation of magnotherapy and its history and uses. Also a great magnetic product that helps many illnesses and relieves pain.

There are many various types of alternative medicine, but the most common and widely used ones are, Herbal Therapy, Aromatherapy, Crystal Therapy, Magnotherapy, Reiki, Acupuncture, Homeopathy, Chiropractic Healing.

Magnotherapy is either the best thing to come out of nature, or something akin to Voodoo, depending on who you talk to.

When there is talk of “natural cures” people generally only think about herbs, plants and food stuffs – magnets are seldom, if ever, mentioned. Yet their powers are great, far reaching and effective.

Although not intended as a review for any company, but rather to help people with health problems, there is one name in this field that stands out, and any health advice would not be complete without mention of this product - Bioflow. This is made by a British company called Ecoflow, ( I do not work for them or receive any commission – I only wish I did.

History of Magnotherapy

Magnotherapy, (formerly called MFT, Magnetic Field Therapy), is over 6,000 years old, making it one of the oldest forms of medicine. It was then rediscovered by NASA for use by their astronauts, and since then has become more popular among civilians for its healing properties. (NASA discovered adverse effects due to leaving the magnetic force around the earth and that was when magnotherapy came back into focus.)

There are now many types of magnetic bracelets available on the market that will purportedly do all sorts of things. These range in price from a few dollars to over one hundred, and like many products – you get what you pay for.

The cheaper magnetic bracelets may do something, but it will be limited, whereas the Bioflow Elite bracelet does lots – in fact just about everything. The company, Ecoflow do a range of Bioflow bracelets, but the only one with the magnetic fields directly opposite is the Elite. This placement means the magnetic force is pulled through your vein.

How Bioflow magnetic therapy works

Customers taking medicine for high blood pressure have bought this bracelet and stopped the medication, (under doctors instructions), and likewise others taking medicine for low blood pressure have also stopped their medication.

What a magnetic bracelet does is simply make your own body work more effectively and better.

How Magnets Work on our Body

A magnet is a natural force strongly linked to electricity.

An atom has a mass, (the nucleus), and one or more orbiting electrons. The nucleus and electrons have their own charges and consequently their own magnetic fields. Introducing a new magnetic field to the atom can move the electron’s orbit, promoting greater molecular bonding, ie. the exchanging or using of each others electrons.

Without the movement of electrons, changes in matter, (that includes water, blood and fuel), cannot occur.

Bodies are full of electrical communication, and for this to work right electrolytes need to carry data round the body. How electrolytes work also effects the ph, (the balance of acids and alkalis), and this is the basis for life and also pain. Amongst other things the ph is responsible for the oxygen in hemoglobin and circulation. Magnotherapy helps the electrolytes pass the necessary information and maintain a balanced ph.

Health care professionals use electromagnetic machines that help heal by using a pulsed field. These machines are big and can only be used for a short time.

The small CRP module, (a Bioflow bracelet), produces a field that has a similar effect but without emitting any electromagnetic resonance. This means it can be carried or worn for an indefinite time without side effects. The Bioflow magnets are rated a, “Class 1 medical device”. This rating is based on any side effects products or medicines may cause, and class1 is the lowest. This means there are no noteworthy negative side effects.

Central Reverse Polarity

CRP magnetic technology is patented by Ecoflow plc, and CRP means the polarity of the magnets is reversed down the distance of the magnet. This produces a distinctive magnetic field, which copies the pulsed magnetic field given out by electromagnetic generators used by health professionals, and even hospitals.

Central Reverse Polarity is designed specifically to help move electrons. All matter that passes through a CRP field is subjected to an additional “kick” of three opposed directional forces. Molecules that have been subjected to a CRP field are more efficient. The CRP module is made to have a field that is concentrated in one direction, while being shielded on the rear and this offers a concentrated field.

Bioflow say their products may take up to three months to start working, and indeed offer a 90 day money back guarantee for customers who have not felt any benefit by then – minus a 15% handling charge.

Bioflow is used and recommended by doctors, physiotherapists, chiropractors, veterinarians and sports people.

Note: People with a pacemaker should not wear or use a magnet near the apparatus as this may negatively affect it. If they wish to use a magnet it should be around the lower leg or foot area.

While all doctors do not agree, some professionals believe south pole magnets can accelerate the growth of cancer cells, so if you suffer from this problem it may be as well to avoid south pole or bi-pole magnets until further tests reveal if this is true or not.

Some of the Health Problems Magnotherapy has been Proven to Help Include:

  • Aging - encourages enzymatic activity which may slow down aging. Studies on animals showed magnotherapy increased their lifespan.
  • Alzheimer's Disease
  • Antimicrobial – can fight viruses, bacteria, fungi and an assortment of germs
  • Arthritis – The "Journal of Rheumatology" (November 1997, p. 1200). “Magnetic therapy may be one of the most effective methods for achieving relief from arthritis”. “Ecoflows Bioflow CRP was the therapeutic magnet (in the form of a bracelet or wristband) used in the trial which recorded a “beneficial effect.” The research was funded by the Arthritis Research Campaign and carried out by a team from the Peninsula Medical School.”
  • Asthma
  • Bronchitis
  • Cardiovascular/Coronary Heart Disease
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Central Nervous System Disorders - Dr. William Philpott believes magnotherapy can lessen hallucinations, delusions, seizures, panic and epileptic seizures, with no adverse effects on the patient.
  •  Circulatory Problems
  • Depression
  • Dermatitis
  • Diabetes
  •  Enhanced Energy
  •  Epilepsy
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Headache
  • Healing – tissue, bone and other
  • Increase Sports Performance – this has been used for years on racehorses, both to heal and enhance five-time Olympian Bruce Davidson sends his horses to the Equine Therapy Center in Camden, South Carolina for magnetic therapy.
  • Hepatitis
  • Inflammation
  • Lou Gehrig's Disease
  • Joint Pain
  •   Kidney Problems
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Muscle Spasms
  • Nerve Damage
  • Neurological Disorders
  • Osteoporosis
  • Pain Relief – studies have shown this will reduce or alleviate pain and discomfort for a variety of conditions including arthritis, rheumatism, fibromyalgia, back pain, headaches, muscle sprains and strains, joint pain, tendonitis, shoulder pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and torn ligaments.
  • Parkinson's Disease
  • Post-Polio Syndrome – studies in a “double-blind placebo-controlled study” showed lessening of pain and the results are published in November 1997 issue of the "Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation".
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Sleep – hence the magnetic pillows available
  • Stress Reduction
  • Surgery – studies show that wearing a magnet for one to two days before the operation in the area of the incision and after the operation can speed up healing.
  • Tendonitis
  • Tourette's Sindrome
  • Ulcers

Elite Gold

In a few examples above I have included doctors views or reports, but to include this information with each item on the list would make it too long.

At this point it is important to note that in some cases patients have felt their symptoms increase during the first twenty-four to forty-eight hours. This is normal, as parts of the body that previously were not getting enough blood, are now working overtime. This problem can be overcome by wearing the magnet for short periods at the beginning, and building up to using it full time, or simply - put up with the discomfort if you can.

Another possible effect are “cold like” symptoms. This is due to the toxins in your body, and drinking lots of water will help get rid of these toxins quickly as they pass out in your urine – in most cases 2 or 3 large glasses of water made these symptoms pass in just a few hours.

Many prestigious institutions such as the British Medical Journal, (December 2004), Imperial College, London, Yale and Harvard Universities have found data sustaining magnotherapy works for many conditions and in many cases.

Magnotherapy will not “cure all ills”, and is not intended to replace a visit to the doctor. It can, however, improve most conditions, including giving pain relief. It is dangerous to rely totally on a magnet for your health, and many cases need medication or surgery, but for a small amount of money a Bioflow bracelet could lessen your discomfort and may save you taking medication. (Excess medication may become unnecessary when a CRP module is used, in other words a bi-polar bracelet, but do check with your health professional before stopping medication).

The beauty of a magnet is, the most damage it will do to you is – monetary. Even if it does not work, there are no obvious side effects, and therefore is definitely something worth giving a try.

Everyone is different, and so reactions will vary. There are no guarantees, and many people are not aware of any improvement until such a time as they remove the magnet. A short time after removing it things start to become painful, uncomfortable or generally, “not right”, and this is when the gradual improvements can be most felt.

To answer the initial question; perhaps not everything, and maybe not cure, but it certainly helps most things.

Personal Experience

I have worn a Bioflow Elite bracelet for a number of years, (it stays on 24/7), and it has seen me through major surgery and a shattered foot. Both times doctors were amazed at my recovery. Maybe I just healed quickly and better than expected, but with prognosis that were not great in either case, a 98% recovery was a gift from somewhere.

I also suffer from migraines and these have decreased in number from about one a week to four or five a year since wearing the bracelet.

Despite about six years of use and abuse, (swimming in the sea and sport), my "Elite Two Tone" still looks like new.

All in all, one of the best investments I have ever made was this one for my health.

My husband felt no change at first, yet when I suggested he remove the magnet for a few days, to see if he felt any difference, he was very reluctant. Then one day he realised his knee, which had been quite painful, (he was waiting for an MRI scan), was no longer sore, but when he did get it scanned, the damage was still there, just as before – but the pain had gone. He was not “healed”, but even the doctors can not do that. He at least, has no pain with it.

He also stopped needing glasses for reading. Until then he wore them at night if he was tired, or had been concentrating particularly and his eyes were strained, but for the last 6-7 months he has not had them on once.
